The Whitman County Jail was built in 1984.
Over the years we have seen the number of inmates increase. In 2014 we increased our bed space to 62. We have the ability to add more temporary bunks should the need arise.
Population
On most days the jail population is approximately 32 to 38, however it swells to over 50 many times through out the year.
