Whitman County makes GIS Products available without charge as a public service. This Map is intended for free public use and dissemination. By accessing any Data or Maps posted by Whitman County, you agree to these Terms of Use. These terms may be updated or modified by Whitman County at any time at its sole discretion. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access GIS Products or download any material from them for any purpose.

Whitman County grants you a limited, revocable license to use, reproduce and redistribute the Data in accordance with these Terms.

The Data is collected from various sources and will change over time and without notice. The geographic position of the GIS data may be modified to improve spatial accuracies. Whitman County disclaims responsibility or legal liability for the spatial location of GIS features, and makes no warranty concerning same.

Whitman County data is developed and maintained solely for County business functions. GIS data is not intended for use in other contexts by third parties and should not be used as a substitute for a product specially developed by a licensed professional.

Whitman County, its officials and employees assume no responsibility or legal liability for the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or usefulness of any information available from the Data. Whitman County expressly disclaims any responsibility to defend or indemnify users against claims of others based on users' copying, distribution, or any other use of the Data. Users are not authorized to license, re-license, assign, release publish, transfer, sell or otherwise make available any portion of these Data, or any information from GIS data derived from these Datasets, to a third party in any format revealing Whitman County as the source of the data.

Whitman County cannot prevent users from combining the Data with 3rd party GIS data sets. Users are not authorized by Whitman County to combine data sets with intent or effect of representing a County business function such as land development, permitting, or flood hazard evaluation. When using the Data, a user has no authority to represent its products or services as though user were a Whitman County agent or office.

RCW 42.56.070(9) prohibits the release of lists of individuals for commercial purposes. "Commercial purposes" means contacting or in some way personally affecting the individuals identified on the list with the purpose of facilitating one's commercial activities. Specifically, the Data may not be used to generate sales lead information in the form of ASCII or other text-formatted list of category-specific business listing or property owners which (i) include complete mailing address for each and (ii) contain a substantial portion of such listing for a particular county, city, state, or zip code region.

Whitman County does not maintain and is not responsible for the performance or reliability of this third party website. The vendor (Esri) may change the functionality or temporarily suspend the site for maintenance without notice. Performance and reliability are solely the responsibility of the vendor.
