The main goal of the Whitman County Parks and Recreation Department is to provide access to safe and maintained park facilities in outdoor environments that allow residents and visitors to pursue recreational and leisure activities.
Providing programs that benefit health, well-being, and social interaction furthers this goal. All activities should promote good fellowship and good citizenship and encourage the conservation of wildlife and natural resources for future generations to enjoy.
Departmental Responsibilities
Coordinate and conduct Recreation programs.
Operate, manage, and facilitate repairs of all Whitman County parks, paths, and trails.
